ETHICON INTERCOAT™ is a site specific gel, used as an adjunct to peritoneal surgery for reducing the incidence, extent, and severity 
of postoperative adhesions at the surgical site and unlike some of the competitors it has a unique composition of PEO and CMC. We realised the importance of this and worked closely with our engineers to create a product that was additve through protein repulsion and tissue adhesion. It is efficacious and precise. Clinical Data
ETHICON INTERCOAT™ is efficacious as it offers consistent superiority in clinical trial results. The American Fertility Society (AFS) using the adnexal score demonstrated this when comparing ETHICON’s INTERCOAT™ against a control in two separate studies. The combined data from the two studies showed that ETHICON INTERCOAT™ treated Adnexa AFS Category improved or did not worsen in 91% of cases as opposed to the 63% in the control group1,2.

ETHICON™’s ETHICON INTERCOAT™ is intended to be used as an adjunct to peritoneal surgery for reducing the incidence, extent and severity of postoperative adhesions at the surgical site. Do not use ETHICON™’s ETHICON INTERCOAT™ in the presence of infection.
